The indications for extraction are: badly destroyed and gangrenous roots, teeth with periodontitis and impassable root canals, teeth causing chronic inflammation of the gums, periodontally compromised teeth, teeth causing neuralgic pain, teeth with grade III mobility, and teeth that stand in the way of orthodontic treatment.
Apicoectomy is a surgical procedure used to treat granulomas and cysts on incisors and premolars; the essential precondition is that root canal treatment has already been carried out and the canal properly filled. The operation removes the granuloma or cyst at the tip of the root.
Sinus lift procedures (lateral or crestal approach).
A sinus lift , or raising the floor of the maxillary sinus, is a surgical procedure in the family of bone augmentation (increasing the available bone). It is used when the back of the upper jaw does not have enough bone for dental implants. The aim is an adequate volume of bone for the implants that follow.
The crestal sinus lift is preferred when only a small lift of the sinus floor is needed. Because enough of the patient's own bone is present, a crestal sinus lift is combined with placing the implant in the same procedure.
